Born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to Puerto Rican American parents, Darma currently serves as
the New York State Committee Woman and Female District Leader of the 54th Assembly District alongside Assemblyman
Eric Dilan. A virant and enthusianstic no nonsense go-getter, Darma has been an active advocate for the residents,
students, and non-profit organizations throughout the district and beyond for over 27 years. Passionate about the
youth, Darma serves on the Board of Managers for the North Brooklyn YMCA as Vice Chair.
The 54th Assembly District represents parts of Bedford Stuyvesant, Bushwick, Cityline, Cypress Hills, East New York and Highland Park.
